The manufacturing methods of chloroprene rubber mainly depend on the monomer manufacturing technology used, and can be divided into two types: the acetylene method and the butadiene method. Imported chloroprene rubber exhibits excellent processing performance. Its raw rubber blocks do not stick together and maintain good condition even after drying, making it easy to weigh. Furthermore, it is less prone to sticking to rollers, simplifying the sheeting process. In addition, the semi-finished rubber sheets possess excellent stiffness and are not easily deformed. In contrast, domestically produced chloroprene rubber lags behind in processing performance. Its rubber blocks are prone to sticking, especially after drying; moreover, the rubber compound frequently sticks to rollers, making sheeting relatively difficult; and the semi-finished rubber sheets are also prone to sticking and deformation.
