The preparation of PU foam mainly relies on the polymerization reaction between isocyanate and polyol. This process releases a large amount of heat, causing the foaming agent to rapidly vaporize and form countless tiny bubbles. These bubbles are evenly distributed within the material, eventually solidifying into a foam with a porous structure. Based on different foaming methods, PU foam can be divided into three main categories: flexible foam, semi-rigid foam, and rigid foam. Each type has its own characteristics in terms of density, hardness, and elasticity to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
