When choosing a yoga mat, pay attention to key indicators such as length, width, thickness, elasticity, uniformity, weight, and anti-slip properties. The length should be at least 15 cm longer than your height, and the width should be 5 to 10 cm wider than when lying flat with your arms and legs naturally positioned. You can test the resilience by pinching the yoga mat with your thumb and forefinger; a good resilience indicates moderate softness and quick rebound. Observe whether the surface of the yoga mat is flat; a mat with evenly distributed foam is more durable. The mat should be of moderate weight for easy carrying, and you can test its dry anti-slip properties by gently pushing the surface with your palm; a mat with noticeable dryness and friction has better anti-slip properties.
