Chloroprene rubber is mainly produced using emulsion polymerization. The specific process includes the following steps:
1. Raw Material Preparation: Chloroprene monomer is mixed with emulsifiers, initiators, regulators, etc., to form a stable emulsion system.
2. Polymerization Reaction: Free radical polymerization is carried out at a temperature of 40°C to 60°C, with a reaction time typically of 8-12 hours. Molecular weight and degree of branching can be controlled by adjusting the pH value and adding chain transfer agents.
3. Post-treatment: After polymerization, the rubber particles are separated through demulsification, washing, and dehydration, followed by drying and compression molding.
