Shock Absorbing Rubber Pads

Shock Absorbing Rubber Pads are compression-molded elastomer units formulated from a proprietary 50% EVA and 50% PE blend, delivering optimal impact mitigation for garden landscapes, synthetic turf underlays, and backyard recreational surfaces. Unlike traditional rubber pads that rely on SBR or EPDM, this advanced composite achieves a density of 145–150 kg/m³ (ASTM D1817) while maintaining clean, odorless characteristics suitable for residential environments. these pads in thicknesses of 2cm, 2.5cm, 3cm, and 5cm, with standard sheet dimensions of 1.45m × 1.15m.

Shock Absorbing Rubber Pads

SGS Test Report Highlights

Sample submitted for testing on September 29, 2024, with test period through October 9, 2024. Per EN 71-2:2020 – Safety of Toys – Part 2: Flammability, the Shock Absorbing Rubber Pads sample achieved a PASS result for Clause 4.1 General Requirements. Butane gas burner applied; specimen demonstrated self-extinguishing behavior with no sustained flame spread.

Application

This product is ideally suited for residential backyard landscaping, artificial grass installations over concrete patios, children's play zones requiring fall protection, and pet kennels where impact absorption and easy cleaning are priorities. Landscape contractors also specify these pads beneath permeable pavers to reduce joint settlement and improve load distribution over clay subsoils. For commercial applications such as daycare playgrounds or municipal splash pads, the 3cm and 5cm thickness grades provide increased critical fall height protection.

QA&QC

Each production batch is tested for density (ASTM D1817), tensile strength (ASTM D412-16), and tear resistance (ASTM D624) with retained samples archived for 24 months. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) with batch traceability is provided with every shipment. SGS certification documents and ROHS/REACH declarations are available upon request.

Packing, Storage, Handling and Transportation

Pads are flat-stacked with interleaved release paper, palletized in quantities of 50–100 sheets (depending on thickness), and stretch-wrapped with corner protectors. Store in a sheltered environment with temperatures between 10°C and 35°C, relative humidity below 70%. Avoid stacking heavy objects on pallets to prevent permanent compression. Product is non-hazardous for all shipping modes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the advantage of the 50% EVA + 50% PE formulation over 100% EVA?

A: The PE component increases stiffness and dimensional stability while reducing long-term compression set. This blend resists indentation under heavy furniture or constant foot traffic better than soft EVA alone.

Q: How do I clean the pad if it gets muddy during installation?

A: The closed-cell surface can be hosed off and wiped dry. Avoid power washing at close range as high pressure may damage the nonwoven fabric backing.
